Before You Start
- Have the correct URL for your workspace.
- Have your username and password ready.
- Know whether you are an internal user or a portal user.
- Know the organisation or matter you are supposed to work on.
What is this page for?
This is the first-login checklist. It exists to get you from "I have access" to "I know where I am and what I should touch next."
When do you use this?
Use this page the first time you log in, when resetting a user after confusion, or when onboarding a new staff member or client user. If you skip this, people end up in the wrong workspace and create support tickets for problems that are not product bugs.
Where do you find the login paths?
Internal users: VerityLaw app login, then /dashboard
Portal users: VerityLaw app login, then /portal

What if login works but nothing makes sense?
"I logged in, but I think I am in the wrong place"
Why this happens: Internal and portal logins are different, and the pages do not do the same job.
Fix: Check the page title and compare it to Choosing the Right VerityLaw Workspace.
"I expected a feature that I cannot find"
Why this happens: Some privacy and governance requirements are broader than the current visible product.
Fix: Check Checking What Is Live, Partial, or Still Missing before assuming the feature is hidden.
